Greg took my wife, our two grandchildren, and me out and worked hard to put us on some good-sized fish. But what really set the trip apart was his work with our grandchildren. Greg is an excellent and patient teacher. He taught them about the three species they caught- largemouth bass, catfish, and big stripers-as well as how to present the bait and fight and land a fish. they were thrilled and couldn't stop talking about the trip afterward.
Greg is a first-rate striper captain who genuinely enjoys teaching and sharing his knowledge of fishing. I'll look no further for our next Lake Hartwell fishing adventure. We'll definitely be back!"

"My son and I did a weekend trip in the mountains and wanted to end the trip on the way back to South Carolina with doing some fishing. We booked an afternoon trip with Top Hook Fishing Charters. This was our first time fishing Hartwell. Captain Greg was awesome! Even though there were afternoon storms popping up around the lake. He had the experience to navigate around them and still put us on the fish. He is all about making sure you catch fish! We had a great time catching nice hybrid and stripers. He has a nice boat and top-notch gear. I would highly recommend him! We are going to plan another trip with him even though we were from out of town. He is very personal and by the time you finish fishing you will feel like you were out there with a friend."

"Greg is awesome! My husband and I took a half day charter on Lake Hartwell and he did not disappoint! We caught about 20+ huge stripers in about 3 hours. Greg taught us a few different rigging techniques and we could barely keep up with all the catching. Within minutes being on the water, it was one right after another. Super professional, friendly, fun and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back and highly recommend his services to everyone."

If you are looking for difficulty, keep moving… you won’t find it here. The Seahunt 22 foot center console boat and all the equipment are top notch, as is the herring baitwell. Greg is an engaged Captain, constantly working to put you on big fish.
